The Golden Isles in Black and White

In this presentation, Timothy McLaughlin, Ph.D. details the Golden Isles' rich cultural history and the Black American community that has called it home. For years, the islands have been the home of the Gullah Geechee but recently property and land itself have become a source of conflict. This brief historical introduction sets the stage for discussing the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, the case proceedings, and the prospects for race relations in the Golden Isles.
